Bikes for Zambia

In 2011 we were approached to start a partnership with Zambikes and Bikes for Humanity (Colorado) to begin a bike-repair training and bike sales which we are calling SOHIP BIKES. We have already seen hope being shared into the community as bikes are being sold and distributed. In Africa owning a bike is often the first step out of poverty and we have seen the excitement as people realize this dream. Our bike shop is set up as a business model so that we can train community members and other organizations in that same way. It is important to build systems that can bring self-sustaining income into our work in Zambia. The bikes we are donating from SENT 2012 will be repaired and sold in Zambia and the income is used to help our friends at Seeds of Hope.
